Philadelphia-born artist operating in Pennsylvania.

I am a multidisciplinary artist whose work embraces the conceptually incongruous marriage between image and text to craft original narratives. I utilize oil painting to modulate between representational self-portraiture, using self as a character, and miniature ecstatic abstractions that reflect an impression of cosmic or quantum phenomena. Operating in tandem, my writing delves into dialog-heavy, mystical fiction referencing and reiterating upon literature, epic poetry, and religious texts. Scenes abstract or representational rarely align neatly with corresponding text, creating a multi-faceted engagement where narrative is thematically and materially in self-contention to navigate themes of spiritual experience, absurdity, imitation and power dynamics.
